Fans have patiently been waiting for the return of the King himself, Kendrick Lamar. It’s been three-years since the release of Kenny’s Pulitzer prize-winning DAMN, leaving in its wake a plethora of resonating material, memorable moments — and the ensuing anticipation of its successor. Recently, Top Dawg Entertainment’s CEO, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, provided a positive update for those lusting for Kendrick’s return.
During an Instagram Live session this past Sunday (May 17th), Top informed viewers that new Kendrick Lamar music is on its way, saying, “Stay patient. King Kendrick will return soon.”
Unfortunately, this anecdote is all we have to satiate our Kendrick hunger, but this tidbit, at the very least, imparts hope — Kenny will be back soon.
Fingers crossed that it’s sooner rather than later…
