Rest easy, Mac.
Mac Miller’s untimely passing left a void in the music world, and the hearts broken of his loyal, vast support network and contemporaries. However, as is so beautiful with music and art, even though Mac departed far too early, his music carriers on his name.
Today, Spotify released previously unheard posthumous live session singles: a cover to his Swimming track, “Dunno”, and a cover of Billy Preston’s 1974 single, “Nothing From Nothing”. His presence on the tracks are a warm reminder of his kind soul, the one that made him so ubiquitously loved; his voice widens his void, but fills it at the same time.
Mac will forever be missed. But luckily for us, we’ll continue to hear his music forever.
