Start the weekend off right.

Finally, the week’s coming to a close. Time to stop thinking about spreadsheets, client calls, and corporate monotony, and time to start thinking about the weekend plans. To properly celebrate the impending temporary freedom, check out the bounty of new music made available today. With releases from Nas, Jay Rock, 2 Chainz, and more, it’s certainly an exciting day for new music.

Nas’ Nasir, produced by Kanye West, was premiered last night at a private listening even via live stream, and, according to Mike Dean, should be available on streaming platforms soon. Jay Rock’s third studio album, Redemption, is a strong 13-track project featuring Kendrick Lamar, Future, J. Cole, Jeremih, SZA, and more. Kyrie Irving has taken his Pepsi short series, Uncle Drew, to the big screen, and has given it the proper red carpet touch it deserves: its very own soundtrack. Featuring A$AP Rocky, Gucci Mane, and others, this soundtrack is a fully-loaded hip-hop display.

It’s not only a big day for albums, as 2 Chainz has linked with Drake, Quavo, and Murda Beatz for their new track, “Bigger Than You”.
