Headlining the 8/16 Forever Cold playlist are Drake, Young Thug, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, and Latto.
In surprise fashion, Drake returned last week with three new songs on an EP titled 100 GIGS. Alongside help from three of Atlanta’s hottest MCs, Thugger, 21 Savage, and Latto, the Toronto-native can’t help but subtly jab back at Kendrick. It feels pretty intentional that Drake would tap these features for no other reason than to respond to Kendrick’s scathing analysis on “Not Like Us.” We’re not sure if this is to “check balance” per se, but it certainly feels like Drake isn’t letting this beef die easily.
The highlight of the EP is the lead track “IT’S UP” with Thugger and 21, where the three superstars exchange fiery flows and catchy melodies. 21 even seems to put his hand in the pot stating, “Made a couple songs, think he hot now, hit his ass up, he think he Pac now, broad daylight, he got shot down.” Check out the track on the Forever Cold playlist now.
