Featuring J. Cole.
The 4/5 edition of the Forever Cold playlist is here. J. Cole has mastered the art of timing. The MC surprises us with a brand new 12-track project. Sit back and enjoy the newest edition of Forever Cold curated by DJ Forever Cold.
Headlining the 4/5 Forever Cold playlist are J. Cole, Bryson Tiller, Quavo, Destroy Lonely, GloRilla, and Megan Thee Stallion.
Out of the blue, J. Cole graces us with a new project titled “Might Delete Later.” Across the 12 tracks, Cole is in his bag. He fills the project with uptempo and smooth, more melodic tracks. Obviously, with the release of Kendrick’s diss on “Like That” it was only a matter of time before Drake or Cole responded. And Cole was the first to take initiative.
The response to Kendrick’s diss comes on the last track of the project, “7 Minute Drill.” Across two different, distinct beats, Cole takes aim at his peer turned target dropping bars like “Your third s— was massive and that was your prime / I was trailin’ right behind and I just now hit mine, Front of the line, with a comfortable lead / How ironic, soon as I got it, now he want somethin’ with me.”
Let the war begin. We’ll be sure to keep tabs on the latest between two of this generation’s best MCs.
