iHipHop Distribution and the A3C Festival are preparing to release their annual compilation album, A3C Volume 9. Spotlighting approximately 50 burgeoning artists, the ensemble endeavor is consistently one of the industry’s most adept talent barometers. Today, they’ve provided Volume 9’s first preview by way of Clever’s new single and video, “Madness.”

Marking Clever’s first 2020 release, “Madness” continues the Alabama native’s unique aesthetic, one that has earned him features from NLE Choppa, G Herbo, the late Juice WRLD, Polo G, NoCap, and more throughout his tenure. Produced by J.J. Stevens, “Madness” is a stylistically-fluid single that adheres to hip-hop’s dynamic direction, and explores the irony of relationships thriving in the face of chaos.

Accompanied by a Karltin Bankz-directed video, “Madness” ushers in tremendous excitement for A3C Volume 9, and suggests a strong 2020 campaign for the rising artist. The video premiered earlier today on Worldstar.

The annual A3C compilation album has been a hallmark of hip-hop discovery for nearly a decade, having helped the careers of Dave East, A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, Vince Staples, Action Bronson, and plenty more; Clever is next up to continue this winning tradition.
