Coming through with one of the more unlikely collaborations in recent memory, Buddy and Matt Ox have linked up for “Ain’t Sweet.”
Spitting over a unique, dynamic instrumental, one that’s as bouncy as it is enigmatic, Buddy handles the majority of the vocal lifting, with Ox batting clean-up on the verses. And not only is the production itself a fluid entity, it recruits multi-faceted vocal aesthetics from both featured artists.
Somewhat surprisingly, this unlikely union has created an earworm of a track.
