This is a very interesting article by The Houston Press on Trae’s lawsuit against Houston radio station 97.9 “The Box”. Basically “The Box” is refusing to play any of his music on the station, and preventing all of it’s employee’s from being associated with the rapper in any way. Weather it be sponsoring a mixtape or bringing awareness to a Haitian relief show Trae did with Bun B. It’s interesting because while Trae can clearly demonstrate how this blacklisting is having a negative effect on his career, it’s doubtful that they will be able to win the suit due to the lovely American civil court system. Plus the article made me more aware of a lot of the cool stuff Trae is doing for his community. The whole situation is actually fairly complicated, which is why you should just read the whole article below.
