iHipHop Admin Beyonce has just signed on to play legendary blues singer Etta James in the 1950s period film ‘Cadillac Records.
The movie will center on the Chicago record company Chess Records; its founder, Leondard Chess; and the turbulent lives of some of the label’s most famous artists including Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry.
Beyonce joins a cast that includes Adrien Brody, Jeffrey Wright and Cedric The Entertainer.
The singer-actress will also executive produce the project as well as record four songs for its soundtrack.
