Cardi B returns with her latest single “Like What (Freestyle).” Sampling Missy Elliot’s “She’s A Bitch,” Cardi brings her Bronx flavor to the legendary track, in an uptempo, drill fashion. Her patented hard-hitting cadence matches flawlessly with the production for another notable add to her catalog. This marks Cardi’s first single of the year but could it also be a sign of her imminent second album? We’ll have to wait and see.
Meanwhile, ScHoolboy Q emerges with his latest album “BLUE LIPS.” We know the TDE rapper has been in the lab preparing this full length project, as it’s nearly been five years since his last studio album. He’s always experimenting with a new sound: in the early 2010’s he was one of the premier West Coast hitmakers, but since his sound has strayed from commercial-driven rap as he explores what he wants to, making for a more authentic and honest Q. “BLUE LIPS” is just the latest mark in his progression.
