Steeped in psychological warfare, the franchise ironically became an instant fan darling due to its well-executed novelty in the horror domain. Now, after roughly four-years since the eighth edition, Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson are ready to reignite the franchise with the upcoming film, Spiral, slated for a May release. To properly usher in the next chapter, 21 Savage has announced that he has curated the film’s soundtrack.
Announced in two Instagram posts yesterday (March 30th), the “A Lot” rapper detailed the movie’s release date (May 14th) and that he will be responsible for the soundtrack; he also shared an enticing trailer. Given 21’s ominous style and dark catalogue, he seems like an apt choice to claim the musical reigns for what’s sure to be a horrifying edition to this chilling series.
