Over the past eight-months or so, Wiz Khalifa has asserted himself as one of the game’s most prolific artists. Dropping freestyle after freestyle, loosie after loosie, a project (It’s Only Weed, Bro), Wiz’s run has been inspiring. And while he’s been traversing this fruitful path in a solo capacity, he’s received an assist on his latest single from Tyga on “Contact.”
Following in the same footsteps as Wiz’s last single, “Bammer” with Mustard, “Contact” conceptually centers around weed; but unlike “Bammer,” which employs a smooth, vibey production, “Contact’s” production is handled by Ronny J, making it fit for a party atmosphere.
With the “Bammer” and “Contact” releases, it’s not a far stretch to presume that Wiz is — and has been — in full-on album mode.
Hopefully this prolific streak culminates in another classic Wiz Khalifa LP.
