“I promise you that, I’m not lying this time!”
ScHoolboy Q’s album release cycle has recently fallen victim to the industry’s trending standard of delays. It happened with CrasH last year, it happened with Oxymoron in 2014; with Q, fans have grown to expect a complicated roll-out — out of self-protection at the very least. However, patrons of the Hoover Street Crip might not have to anticipate any hindrances.
During a performance at London’s 02 Academy Brixton, Q elated the crowd by saying, “I’m dropping an album this year, I promise that.” He went on to say, “I promise you that, I’m not lying this time! And I’m the most lying-ist muthafucka ever! I’ll drop next month. Yeah right. Nigga, I’m dropping an album this year, I promise you that.”
ScHoolboy Q is a gracious individual who recognizes that without his fans, he wouldn’t be the megastar he is today. Seemingly doing everything in his power, he will not disappoint those loyal supporters again.
