The average person might not be too familiar with the name, Rik Cordero, but you can believe that all of your favorite artists are. Reason being is he’s one of the best at transferring the music from your headphones into visuals that land on your favorite websites, (especially this one).
His client list is a who’s who with names like Rick Ross, Wale, Stalley, Action Bronson, Jay-Z, The Roots, Slaughterhouse, Roscoe Dash, Jared Evan, Nas, The Clipse, and plenty more all benefiting from his directorial services. We were able to grab some time out of the filmmaker/video director’s busy schedule to talk about just what goes on behind the scenes, his take on artists stepping into directing, and a lot more.
