Back like we never left, it’s time for yet another “New Music Friday.” While each de facto industry release day is special unto itself, today’s stands out from prior weeks thanks to the sheer fire power. Unpacking so much music can be a daunting task, but don’t fret — DJ Forever Cold is back once again applying his expert filter to curate the best and most-necessary compilation, the Forever Cold❄️ playlist.

Today’s headlining artists are: Drake, Baby Keem, Juice WRLD, Pop Smoke, and AG Club.

Starting things off with a bang, the fan-favorite Drake has come through with a three-pack offering, Scary Hours 2. A microcosm of Drizzy’s eclectic artistry, the recently-announced quasi EP is replete with both radio bangers and introspective deep cuts, demonstrating how Drake is a unicorn in today’s marketplace. With features from Lil Baby and Rick Ross, coupled with Drake’s nimble pen and flow, Scary Hours 2 is throwing gasoline on the new Drake album hype. His tracks “What’s Next” and the Rozay-assisted “Lemon Pepper Freestyle” have made today’s list.

Next up, the exponentially rising California artist Baby Keem has added to his growing catalogue by releasing his new single, “no sense.” Consistent with his previous releases, “no sense” is a superior product that further demonstrates how Keem is not your average hip-hop incumbent; he crafts his lyrics and sound in a unique way that makes him stand out from the dense competition.

Heading out to Chicago, the late Juice WRLD’s camp has come through with a highly-anticipated posthumous offering from the visionary, “Life’s A Mess II” featuring Post Malone and Clever. As three genre-blending artists, this newly-minted trio manifests hip-hop’s stylistically-fluid direction.

Fellow dearly-departed rapper, Pop Smoke, has also augmented his posthumous collection by way of the Boogie soundtrack — Eddie Huang’s and Pop Smoke’s directorial and acting debuts, respectively. The Canarsie native’s collaboration with Polo G, “Fashion,” and the M24-assisted “No Cap” Remix have been added to today’s list.

Last, but certainly not least, the enigmatic Bay Area-based collective, AG Club, has come through today with their first 2021 single, “TRUTH” featuring Sam Truth and redveil.

Other artists to make today’s Forever Cold❄️ playlist are: Dubbo, Denzel Curry x Kenny Beats, G Herbo, Sheff G, Lil Durk x OTF, Renni Rucci, Yung Mal, Talbean Dooda x 42 Dugg, OMB Peezy, Aaron May, Young Dolph x Key Glock, and Anderson .Paak x Bruno Mars.
