The winter’s impending icy touch is right around the corner. But just because we’re preparing to hunker down to weather the cold, doesn’t mean that things aren’t still heating up. With the fourth quarter nearing its end, all of the stars are flooding “New Music Friday.” Today, DJ Forever Cold is back with another edition of the Forever Cold❄️ playlist.

Headlining today’s list are: Jeezy, Rich The Kid x NBA YoungBoy, Megan Thee Stallion, and DaBaby.

Fresh off his instantly iconic Verzuz battle against perennial foe (possibly turned respected peer?) Gucci Mane, Jeezy has delivered his ninth studio album, The Recession 2. Following its 2008 predecessor, the latest from Jeezy continues showing his superior relationship with the written word and his penchant for musical sensibility. Joined by Rick Ross, Yo Gotti, E-40, Ne-Yo, among others, The Recession 2 is a testament to Jeezy’s longevity. His tracks “Therapy For My Soul” and “The Kingdom” have been added to today’s list.

Next up, after engendering anticipation for their collaborative project, Rich The Kid and YoungBoy Never Broke Again have delivered by releasing Nobody Safe. Anchored by lead singles “Bankroll” and “Automatic,” the joint effort recruits both artists’ respective strengths to impart a dualistic tape that hinges upon Rich and YoungBoy’s undeniable chemistry. Their Rod Wave-assisted “Sorry Momma” has made today’s list.

Keeping the theme of exciting albums going, Megan Thee Stallion has officially released her debut album, Good News. In a year fraught with peril, it is comforting to finally receive some… Good News. Meg’s rookie LP is an upbeat affair, replete with addressing the infamous Tory Lanez situation, Meg’s enviable moxy, and other hallmarks of the Hot Girl MC. Her track “Go Crazy” with 2 Chainz and Big Sean has been included in today’s list.

Last, but certainly not least, DaBaby has come through with a quasi surprise project, My Brother’s Keeper (Long Live G). Released in honor of his late older brother, DaBaby’s latest effort is a cathartic affair that showcases his ability to park the anthems he’s revered for, and lean into more emotionally-inclined topics.

Other artists to make today’s list include: Russ, Hit-Boy, Meek Mill, Tierra Whack, Lil Tjay, Key Glock, and SAINt JHN.
